“Waning Gibbous” was created in 2021 using layers of indigo and teal hand-dyed silk and flashe paint. When held up to light, the piece emanates blue light and the layers beneath are revealed.

WHAT IS A WANING GIBBOUS?

This moon reflects on the waning gibbous moon phase, the phase after the full moon where the moon is still halfway illuminated. The waning gibbous phase is a time to reflect on removing bad habits, stressors or other negative thinking as you enter into the next cycle.
